It is officially sequin season! Well, I guess sequins have been making an appearance for quite some time, but the holidays always seem to bring more out!
Sequins have been popping up all over elbows. Yes, elbows. These are not your grandpa’s leather elbow patches. These are snazzy, sparkly, eye-catching, serve no purpose but to shimmer elbow patches.
Add a sparkly patch to your jacket or sweater and let me know how it goes!

Supplies:
– Jacket
– Felt
– Wonder Under
– Sequin Fabric
– Scissors
– Iron
{Step 1}: Iron two sheets of wonder under to the back side of your sequin fabric. Make sure you have the textured side facing your fabric. Iron until the Wonder Under is fully attached to your fabric.
{Step 2}: Draw a large oval onto a piece of paper. Make sure it is large enough to cover your elbow. Cut out the oval. Then, trace it on top of your Wonder Under paper. Cut out your oval. Then, peel the paper back off of your Wonder Under.
{Step 3}: Cut two more sheets of Wonder Under (that are large enough to fit your ovals). Iron them to your felt.
{Step 4}: Place your oval template on top of the Wonder Under paper and trace. Trace a little larger than your template. Then, cut out your oval.
{Step 5}: Next, iron your sequin patches to your felt.
{Step 6}: Peel the paper off the back of your felt. Then, find where your elbows are on your jacket and mark it. Place your sequin patch on your jacket so your elbow is in the center of your patch. Iron your sequin patch to your elbow. Let your patch cool. You are finished!

Oh this is a fun little project! I’ve been eyeing up those sweaters with elbow patches. I’ll have to give this a try!
