DIY Ombre Necklace

The last time I was at Joann’s I saw these amazing ombre beads.  They totally reminded me of something I have seen, or would see, at Anthropologie.  We all know I always love doing a little Anthro hack. ;)

I grabbed these beads along with some chain I had lying around to make this super quick statement necklace! Even if you have never made a necklace before, don’t worry. This necklace really is as simple as stringing beads! You can also make it in less than 30 minutes!

Supplies:

– 3 Strands of Ombre Beads (2 small strands and 1 large strand)

– Tiger Tail Wire

– Crimp Beads

– Crimping Tool

{Step 1}: Line your Tiger Tail up to all of your bead strand. Leave about 2 inches on each side, then cut your wire. Slide one of your crimp beads on your wire. Then, run your wire through the last link of your chain. Put the end of your wire through the opening of your crimp bead. Use your crimping tool to secure the crimp bead.

{Step 2}: String all of your beads, starting with your small ombre beads. Make sure you leave enough small beads to place in between all of your large beads.

{Step 3}: Place a crimp bead at the end of your wire. Run your wire through the last link on the other side of your chain.

{Step 4}: Then, run the wire through the crimp bead and down through 4 of your beads. Next, pull down on your wire, pulling your beads close to your chain. Use your crimping tool to close your crimp bead. Snip your extra wire.
