Blitsy Monday’s: A Pretty Pom Pom Flower

minipompomflowers

I don’t know what it is about pom pom trim that I love so much.  Every time I see this trim at craft stores I always find myself wanting to buy it.  I never really have a project in mind at that moment, but I normally figure I will come up with something!

I was looking through some of the trims we had at Blitsy and came across…wait for it…MINI POM POM trim!!!  The regular sized pom pom trim is super cute, but mini pom pom trim?  Be still my heart! We had this pint-sized trim that came in yellow, bright blue, and this really eye-catching pink.  I knew I needed to do something with the pretty pink trim!

A while back I had pinned a really pretty faux flower from Anthropologie.  It was a gorgeous red color, with a really sleek and sophisticated look.  I thought my mini pom poms were the perfect shape to create my own version of this flower.  I began wrapping my mini pom poms around a styrofoam ball I had.  The ball was rather large and looked a little bit too big after I added my pom poms.  I ended up grabbing a styrofoam ball that measured an inch and a half.  After I wrapped my smaller stryofoam ball with my pom poms, the end result was spot-on!

These brightly colored flowers are the perfect addition to an empty vase you have lying around your home.  They will definitely add a punch of color to any space in your home!
