Blitsy Thursday’s: Valentine’s Day Week

Love is in the air this week at Blitsy!

I remember back in the day when Valentine’s Day was a big event at school. The day was shortened because there was always a festive party. We would hand out our Valentine’s, there were games, and tons of sweet treats! It was always so much fun.  I think my favorite part was actually before Valentine’s Day . Every year we would make a Valentine’s Day box. I seriously LOVED making my box to hold all of my cards. I was probably one of the few that actually love this activity!

To pay homage to my fond Valentine’s Day memories, I have devoted an entire week to creating Valentine’s Day projects. I realized this holiday filled with love it literally right around the corner. How in the heck did that happen?!? To kick off the week I took a mini pallet, covered it in chalkboard paint and added a tiny banner. This mini pallet is great for a table or mantle.

The second project I did this week was one you can wear. I picked a Valentines-y font, painted over it with Ink Effects, and ironed it onto my shirt. Ink effects is pretty cool. You can pretty much create an amazing masterpiece and then iron it onto fabric. Yeah, it’s pretty awesome!

You can see my mini pallet here and my painted shirt here. Don’t forget to check out www.blitsycrafts.com tomorrow for my final project!
