DIY Stamped Luggage Tag

Going on a trip is always something I look forward to. Whether it’s a quick road trip or a plane ride to another state or country, I always welcome the change of scenery. When I fly, I’m always a little worried that my luggage is going to get lost or taken by someone else. Instead of panicking about someone mistaking my luggage as their own, I’ve created a fun DIY stamped luggage tag that is not like the rest!

My luggage tag is not the standard rectangle shape and style. In order to create a luggage tag that stands out, I made this one round with a super cute compass stamp from Rubberstamps.com. There are other travel stamps to choose from, but my favorite is the compass design. It’s what made me decide to go with a circle shape for my luggage tag instead of the traditional rectangle shape! Check out the video tutorial below to see how you can make your own DIY stamped luggage tag so you too can travel in style!

Supplies:

  • Rubberstamps.com Compass Stamp (2×2)
  • Stamp Ink
  • Patterned Scrapbook Paper
  • White Cardstock
  • Printer (to print out your name and address)
  • Tag Template
  • Iron-on Vinyl (you could also swap this out and use a laminator and laminating pouch)
  • Parachute Cord (or any cord option of your choice)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • 1/4 Inch Hole Punch

After your done making your DIY travel luggage tag, just tie it onto to your luggage and enjoy! Happy travels!

DIY Stamped and Stitched Flower Card

With the digital world taking over most areas of our lives, it can be hard to go back to the “basics”. We are a society of instant gratification seekers. Technology is great and can help us multi-task our way through the day, but when it comes to card-giving, in my opinion, the old fashion way is much better than sending an e-card.

DIY Stamped Easter Bunny Placemat

Disclaimer – This post is in partnership with Rubberstamps.com.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Spring is trying really hard to rear its head here in Chicago. It likes to tease us with a sun filled day with birds chirping here and there. Then, it gets bashful and goes back into hiding giving us cold, dreary days and even snow! Ugh! Instead of getting mad at the weather (which is really hard to do this time of year) I decided to focus on the next holiday that is all about Spring–two cheers for Easter!

How to Make a Custom DIY Floral Spring Wreath With Craft Cuts

Disclaimer – This post is sponsored by Craft Cuts.  All opinions are 100% my own.

As winter slowly starts to make its way out, it’s time to welcome spring in! This easy custom DIY floral spring wreath is just what you need to add a pop of color to your home. Not only is it bright and cheery, but it’s also customized making it one-of-a-kind!

I partnered with Craft Cuts to come up with a project using their customizable wood pieces.  There are a tone of wood shapes and fonts to choose from when creating a custom piece.  For my wreath,  I was able to select the size, material, thickness and measurement of the inner circle for my wooden ring wreath shape.  I was able to choose a font fro their various options along with the material I wanted, the thickness, and the length of my word.   They also have stencils and vinyls available.   Like I said, every detail is customizable–it’s AWESOME!!!  (more…)

DIY Floral Photo Matte With rubberstamps.com

Disclaimer – This post is sponsored by rubberstamps.com.  All opinions are 100% my own.

I have a true obsession for florals. Whether it’s scrapbook paper, stencils, fabric designs, or notebook covers, I’m always find myself drawn to ones that have a floral design! This isn’t a new phase for me. It’s one that’s been going on for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I would go through my mom’s Better Homes and Garden’s magazines and cut out all of the pages that had flowers on them and turn them into collages. It was such a fun activity for me since I loved arranging all of the flowers together to create my own garden masterpieces.

My latest ongoing project has been working to update decor pieces in my living room. As I try to do this on a budget, I’ve been looking for inspiration that I can DIY myself. I wanted to take my plain picture frames from drab to fab without needing to put forth a ton of effort. Once again, florals have found their way into my updated design. I got this AMAZING floral pattern stamp from Rubberstamps.com.  I was really drawn to the delicate and intricate floral designs. I grabbed this stamp because I thought it would be prefect to create a DIY floral photo matte for my boring frame. Since I knew I was covering a larger space, this  4″ x 6″ stamp was the perfect size. Check out the full tutorial below to see just how simple it is to create your own DIY floral photo matte!

DIY Felt Holly Garland

Shortly after Thanksgiving I was doing my annual Christmas trip to Crate & Barrel walking around looking at all of the pretty holiday things.  I love Crate & Barrel any time of the year, but around the holidays is my absolute favorite time! During my casual stroll through the store, I came to the garlands section.  Ugh, everything was so incredibly cute!

What really caught my eye was this really cute felt holly garland.  Now it wasn’t crazy expensive or anything but the materials to make it were so basic that I knew I could recreate it myself for a fraction of the cost. So, I headed to Joann’s and picked up some felt sheets, pipe cleaners, and pom-poms to make my very own version of the Crate & Barrel felt Garland.  (more…)

DIY Holly Wreath Christmas Sign

DIY Holly Wreath Christmas Sign

Every year I decide to add a little bit more to my Christmas Decor and this year is no different.  I wanted to switch things up a bit and instead of using the message board I had on display last year, I wanted to create a sign that said “Merry Christmas”.  I used the Walnut Hallow Floral Wreath Sign and decided to think outside of the box.
