Bring some green into your home with this DIY Feelin’ Lucky Stamped Shamrock Frame!
It’s that time of year to get your home dressed up in green in preparation for March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day! Since we could all use a little extra luck in our lives I thought it would be fun to create a shadowbox full of shamrocks. I grabbed the shamrock stamp and 2 different green inks from Rubberstamps.com. I had so much fun making and cutting out the shamrocks for my frame that I ended up making a few more to tape to my wall for an extra bit o’ luck!
Check out the full video tutorial below to see how you can make your own DIY Feelin’ Lucky Stamped Shamrock Frame!
- Ruberstamps.com Shamrock Stamp (2×2 Cling)
- Remarks Ink (Forest Green and Moss Green)
- Acrylic Stamping Block (4×4)
- 6×6 Shadowbox Frame
- Foam Squares
- White Cardstock
- Black Adhesive Vinyl
- Transfer Tape
- Cricut Cutting Machine
Step 1: Stamp numerous shamrocks using both green inks
Step 2: Use scissors to cut out each shamrock, making sure to leave a white border.
Step 3: Place the back of the frame on top of the white cardstock, trace around it, and cut it out.
Step 4: Use a Cricut cutting machine to cut out “Feelin’ Lucky”. You’ll want it to be 4 inches wide.
Step 5: Place a piece of transfer tape on top of the vinyl, rub it with your finger, and slowly peel it off. The vinyl design will come up with the transfer tape.
Step 6: Lay the transfer tape on top of the cardstock, rub over it with your finger or a card, and slowly peel off the transfer tape.
Step 7: Add a foam square to the back of a shamrock and place it on the cardstock. Continue adding foam squares to the back of the shamrocks and layer them. Alternate both green colors.
No matter your skill level, this DIY Feelin’ Lucky Stamped Shamrock Frame is the perfect décor piece to display in your home. Take it down after St. Patrick’s Day, or leave it up all year round for a little bit of luck every day!
