CIY: Bow Part 3 – White Bow Sweater

Here it is, bow CIY 3 of 4!  This is another super easy CIY.  Thank you J.Crew for the inspiration!

Supplies:

– Sweater

– Felt (I bought 1 sheet)

– Wonder Under

– Bow Template (Pattern Here)

– Straight pins

– Scissors

– Iron

CIY: Bow Sweater

{Step 1}: Cut out the bow from the bow template.

{Step 2}: Cut the bow into 4 separate pieces (the template has each piece marked).

{Step 3}: Pin your bow pieces to your felt and cut out each piece.

{Step 4}: Pin your felt pieces to your Wonder Under and cut.  Iron your felt to the rough side of your Wonder Under.  Let your fabric cool.  Once it has cooled, slowly remove the smooth paper back from your felt pieces.

{Step 5}: Place your bow pieces on your sweater with the sticky/rough side against your sweater.  Use the below picture as your guide.  You will want to leave a little black between your felt pieces.

{Step 6}: Iron your felt to your sweater.  Follow the directions that come with your Wonder Under so you do not melt your felt.  Let your sweater and felt cool off.

the felt is actually a lot easier to cut out if you leave room on the paper and pin the paper to the felt and cut around the lines.
the scissors cut through easier and makes crisper lines.
