Lantern Update with Rust-Oleum

It’s that time again when I turn to the outdoors to do a little decorating.  I treat my porch like another room in my house.  As the years go by, I like to give it a refresh and change out the decor (I got this design change-up bug from my mom :D).

When I was taking inventory of all my outdoor decor, I noticed my red lantern looked a little rough.  It was once vibrant red, but after years spent in the sun and rain it’s now faded and the red is super dull.  I wanted to breathe some life into with a fresh coat of paint.  So, I grabbed some Rust-Oleum spray paint which is perfect for metal and outdoor pieces like my lantern.  I really wanted to make sure I used the correct paint so I’m not repainting it again next year!

When I was at Home Depot looking at all of the gorgeous Rust-Oleum paint colors, I decided to switch it up a bit and instead of getting red, I got a rose gold color.  I thought this color would be a nice neutral that will go great with whatever changes I make to my porch decor in the next couple of years!  In my book, you can never go wrong with gold.  Check out the video below to see just how easy it to transform an outdoor lantern with Rust-Oleum spray paint!

Here’s what you’ll need:
