Dollar Store Gift Challenge: Plaid Candle

So, I decided to give my candle holder a warm, cozy, little sweater.

When I was looking at the goodies I collected at the Dollar Store I was trying to figure out how I could decorate my plain, standard, clear vase. Then, it hit me! Why not add a cute little sweater to it?! So, I cut up my scarf from the Dollar Store and wrapped my candle holder in its furry goodness.

This gift set me back a cool $2.00! My sweater candle would make a great gift for a dude in your life. It has a very masculine feel to it. The candle feels like it should be in a warm winter lodge.

{Step 1}: Align the top of your scarf with the top of your vase. Wrap your scarf around your holder until it hits the other end of your scarf. Then, cut down the entire length of your scarf. Next, cut your scarf where it hits the bottom of your holder.

{Step 2}: Fold your strip of fabric in half.  Make sure the nice side of your scarf is in the inside. Then, thread your needle.
