I truly think spray paint is magical. It can turn old items into brand new treasures. I decided to put a little magic (aka spray paint) on to my old pots to give them a new life. I went with a gray color on my larger pots and a yellow/green color on my smaller pots. I wanted the smaller pots to add a pop of color to my porch. Plus, the color matched my pillows. :)
With my pots painted, I was FINALLY able to plant my summer flowers. I usually have my flowers planted by Memorial Day. Needless to say, I was a bit late this year. I can’t wait for my flowers to get nice and big and fill in!
Have you ever painted planters or outdoor furniture? If so, what color did you do?
Supplies:
– Spray paint (I used Krylon Fusion – Ivy Leaf and RUST-OLEUM Painter’s Touch 2x – Dark Gray Gloss)
– Tarp
– Plastic pots
– Rag
Wipe off all of your pots with a rag to remove any dirt. Lay out your tarp. I put a box under my tarp to lift my pots up so I could spray them better. Start spraying in even strokes. Let your pots dry and repeat with your other pots. Add a second coat of paint if need be.{Photo credit: Top Left – True Value}

The difference between spray-paint and naked is SO intense. I think I’m just going to have to branch out and try this!
