The paper weight I bought from the dollar store was pretty ugly. It had a yellowish brown butterfly on the top of it. The design made it look like something you would find at your neighbors annual garage sale!
I wanted to give this little paper weight a modern makeover. I found some stickers that had different words on it. I created my own quote with the words I put together. It’s no secret that I am a fan of hugs!
This gift challenge set me back around $4.00.
Supplies:
– Dollar Store Paper Weight
– Mod Podge
– Word Stickers
– Polka Dot Paper
– Scissors
– Paint Brush
{Step 1}: Cut strips of paper about a 1/2 inch thick and 5 inches long.
{Step 2}: Put Mod Podge on the back of your strips of paper and start placing them on your paper weight.
{Step 3}: Keep weaving your papers until your weight is completely covered.
{Step 4}: Cover your entire weight with a layer of Mod Podge.
{Step 5}: Place your stickers on your weight.
{Step 6}: Cover your entire weight again with another layer of Mod Podge.
You are finished – Enjoy!

You are so good at making things and are so creative. Have you ever thought about doing a crafty Christmas exchange?

Oh, Julie you know me too well. I have been in a crafty Christmas exchange! The funny thing is, I love crafting, but I was the one who spoke up about ending it. How funny is that?!?
